What This Is

The GOE Essex County Passport is a year-long personal challenge to visit 50 free or low-cost places across Essex County, NJ β€” together. No pressure, no timeline. Just you, your girlies, and the county waiting to be explored.

How to Stamp

Tap any place card to stamp it 🌸. Tap again to unstamp. Your progress saves automatically β€” but ⚠️ you must open this in the same browser on the same device every time. Switching from Safari to Chrome, or opening it inside another app's browser, means your stamps won't be there. Pick one browser, bookmark it, and stay there! Pro tip: screenshot your progress regularly so you never lose it.

Make It Yours

Don't vibe with a spot? Delete it. Know somewhere better? Add it. Every category has an Add button so you can customize your passport. This is a starting point, not a prescription β€” the goal is to actually go outside πŸ˜πŸ’š

The Tiers

You're out here and you're trying. That counts.
🌸
In Bloom β€” 15–34 spots
You're showing up consistently for yourself and your county.
β˜•
Full Cup β€” 35–49 spots
You lived this year. You really lived it.
πŸ‘‘
County Queen β€” All 50
You stamped everything. Essex County belongs to you. πŸ‘‘
The Frienger Rule

Some places hit different when you're not alone. Post in the GOE group β€” "who wants to go to Branch Brook Park Saturday?" β€” and someone might just say yes. And if nobody does? Go anyway. Show up solo, soak it in, talk to strangers, vibe with the city. Then come back and tell us all about it. Your experience matters either way. πŸ’š
